Socket Preservation

After a tooth is extracted, significant bone loss at the extraction site can occur. This bone loss can prevent the ability to place an implant in the future and may compromise the surrounding teeth. To prevent this resorption of bone, bone grafting material or bone growth enhancing elements are placed in the socket to stimulate bone regeneration.
